Take the Trails

Nature is the place for us to preserve and recharge. How often do we take time from busy work schedules to seek a quiet place to think and reflect?  Jesse Tam, create a few hours to spend time once a week or monthly with friends and family.

Festivals and Events for Puget Sound

What is your memory of summer activities?  Seattle Seafair and return of the Blue Angels Hydro races is one of the festivities for families and all ages.  Jesse Tam, there are so many community parades, farmers market, local concerts, food vendor, crafts and artisits during the summer.  The Seafair Torchlight parade returned after 2 years bringing a fun filled event starting from the Seattle Center area to downtown Seattle on 4th Avenue.  The evening was filled with marching bands, colorful floats, dance teams, Seafair pirates, Seattle police and many sister city assocations, etc.

People lined the streets of 4th Avenue early afternoon to reserve front curb side spots for families with chairs and coolers to stay hydrated throughout the day. Here's a great link to check out events for the month of August.  How about a concert in the park, cSar show, free moving in Tacoma, logging festivial, rocks and gems, Seahawks practice, Mariner's baseball and so many more...

Take time and enjoy the fantastic weather outdoors and sunshine.  It's a perfect way to take a break from working at home to go venture to try new things.  https://jessetam.wordpress.com/ stay connected

Reflect on the Less Ordinary

Just a quote to ponder on a hike as you reach Lake Serene and the edge of the lake with a logs and places to reflect, Jesse Tam.  Make everyday a little less ordinary.  Strive to continue with things you've always wanted to try.  Keep changing regardless of curves or log jams, they are just temporary.

Ready For The Challenge

It was an amazing long hike to Lake Serene and considered a difficult trail with rocks, narrow trails and 3-4 hours for those who are up to the challenge.  Jesse Tam, once you reach the lake and see the clear blue, green water with snow visible and beautiful mountains...oh, what a place to reflect and take in the sites of nature and the fresh airy mountains...

The trails are crowded on weekends and parking is difficult so you may need to walk a mile or so to just reach the trailhead to begin the challenge.  Be prepare before you go with water, comfortable shoe, layer clothes, survivial items and stay on the marked paths. You'll see all age groups and some people with young children on packs, dogs on leashes enjoying the hike to the falls and some onward to the lake.  If you are up to it, some swim or take a dip in the cool waters of the lake.

Pack a lunch or snack along your hike but remember to remove all your items and travel light.  Hiking poles will be useful on the steep and narrow trails.  https://jesse-tam.blogspot.com/  Stay connected with more outdoor discovery.  Below is a view of beautiful Lake Serene - Jesse, a place to reflect..

Time to Change the Clock

We either look forward to daylight saving time or dislike the hassle with changing all the clocks. Jesse Tam, the US started it as an energy conservation during World War I and became a national standard in the 1960s.  The longer daylight was to enhance energy conservation and reduce light usage.

The states of Arizon and Hawaii do not change their clocks and remain on standard time.  Time to move that hands on the clock forward tonight Sunday, March 8th and enjoy the longer sunlight. lt might take a few days for some of us to adjust to losing that hour of sleep, but we've survive and make it up later in the year.

So it's Spring Forward...set those clocks ahead before you go to sleep. Spring Ahead. Stay connected, Jesse https://jessetam.wordpress.com/  Thanks for reading.
